I had an amazing opportunity to tour the grounds and take photos while speaking with Christopher Spinner the Executive Director of CREEC. CREEC Is an acronym for Carquinez Regional Environmental Education Center. CREEC is hosting a Fall Fest September 28th from 10am - 4pm. There will be a live band, Activities for the kids, Art, Food, Beer and Wine and of course Plants! There are a number of improvements Christopher has planned for the grounds and new events to be announced soon. You can stay up to date by following CREEC on Instagram @_creec_ I had a blast. There were so many awesome plants. I really liked the outdoor classroom with all the new benches. I also enjoyed learning about the currently inoperable mechanical portions of the greenhouse, and how with some TLC and donations, Christopher can better maintain the relative humidity and temperatures inside the greenhouse. Making a better environment for the plants. Here are some photos from my first visit to CREEC, Enjoy!

CREEC's greenhouse and grounds surrounding the area is a wonderful place to bring the family on a Saturday ! You can not only learn about the native plants, but you can purchase so many different varieties. The atmosphere is very welcoming.

Lovely space, feels like your own private garden oasis. They offer plant sales, educational outreach, weekend classes/volunteer opportunities. So glad I discovered this gem of a location!
