(Whoever painted) The overspray on the chimney should be sued. For not even taking a minute to do the prep work before slapping paint over historical features. that lasted the test of time just to have someone lazy to make it look like trash.

Venue had potential to be a nicely decorated event room. Although it was a bit far from our location and the air was broken at the start of the event that we attended. Ok, who am I kidding... It was verrrry far! 😂

I was interested in renting the building to host a baby shower. Upon visiting the website, it has you submit an inquiry if you are interested in renting the space, so I did that. Waited several days with no response so I called. The first time I called, the lady that answered, answered the phone “Doc Tony’s” so I hung up. I waited until the next day and called back and got the same greeting so I proceeded to tell her that I was trying to reserve the space for a baby shower. She asked me for the date, said she was driving but she would call me back in 10 min when she was in front of the calendar and let me know if that date was available. I waited, no call back. The next day, I called again and the same lady answered. I told her I had been expecting her call back and again proceeded to ask if the building was available the date we needed it for. She said it was, told me the fees and instructed me on now to go about completing the reservation process. I went onto their website again, found the rental contract and began filling it out. The fees in the contract they were wanting me to sign were less than I was quoted over the phone, so when I went to email the contract back to the email address the website tells you to send it to - I asked that they confirm receipt of the contract and confirm the price due to the discrepancy in what I was told and what I was signing so I could make the payment. It has been almost a week (over 2 weeks since I originally inquired) since I sent the contract back and not one response. At this point, we have secured another location for the shower but the serious lack of response by those tasked with running this is mind blowing. I am guessing these people are all volunteers, which is great. But I’m also guessing that by renting this place out, it’s income generating for the county … how does anyone even have a chance to rent it when no one responds. The community and those interested in using the space should not have to chase anyone down when there are obviously people in place to handle these things. Very disappointing.

This day was set up to hand out free school supplies. It was well attended. Well organized. The staff was very helpful. Great morning.

Best spot for early voting on Clay Co. Well equipped with efficient staff. Parking is a little iffy, but as good as the staff is there is an open space coming up shortly.

They advertise bounce houses on there pictures and page, but my close friend wanted her childs birthday party there and asked about a bounce house. They stated “Absolutely not”. They also stated that they did not “Want to be liable for any injury even if the parent signed the waver for it”. Another thing is they will not let you put any decorations on the walls, is what the women said to her. They have false advertising. And if they don’t want you to have any of that, they should not advertise it.

They canceled the annual Christmas parade while still advertising it on their website as a main event they do every year. These 5 ladies need to resign from their positions immediately. These kids love the parade and all they do is blame the sheriff's office, county for permitting, etc etc blah blah blah. Do the right thing and get the permit or we'll load this review board up with one star reviews.

This place is very dear to our entire family. Where we can rest on the porch and eat from the garden of our elders. Great place to gather. Nice clean kitchen and separate bathrooms. 👌
