I Volunteered in 2019, I'm Palestinian and want there with my Japanese friend. We both enjoyed and learned a lot throughout our stay. We were welcomed and treated warmly, we were fascinated by the international and local volunteers hosted. our stay extended for a short period in winter, but we wished we had the time for more time and experiences.

Empower school and farm was a great experience! I lived and worked there for 2 months and everyone there was kind and alway ready to help others learn. The farm does a great job of not only feeding the community by providing produce for the local food bank but also teaching the community about organic micro intensive farming wherever they are in their gardening journey. I learned so much from my time there and recommended it to anyone who wants to get involved in organic growing or involved in their community!

Empower School & Farm is the full experience! I have the incredible opportunity to attend my Permaculture Design Course here at this beautiful location. Buddy has created a truly amazing community by bringing people from all over the world together to grow organic produce and give it to the local food pantry and community in need. If you’re looking to learn about organic farming and want to connect to a friendly and loving community, check them out!

In the spring of 2021, I had the privilege of partnering with this organization on a permaculture design course. The host site was not only welcoming, but also provided an atmosphere conducive to enjoyable learning. Their organic farming systems are producing a substantial yield that are providing for local food pantries and guests from the World organization of organic farmers (WOOFers). I highly recommend this location if you are seeking out continued learning in organic farming and sustainable agriculture. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and really go to great lengths to provide a beneficial experience for the mind, body, and spirit.

This is a great place to Learn about organic farming. I read and met the gentleman below and none of what he sez is remotely true. Religion is never pushed upon everyone as I have been there for 14 months now. Yes the woman who intern there are housed while the men live in raised platform tents. This is the first complaint I have ever heard from all the guys that spend months there... and I have met many. He was only there a week so maybe he is use to the Hilton type of accommodations. Everyone that interns there and works there doesn’t get paid. They get food and lodging for a great learning and rewarding experience. This is so the farm can give the food free once a month to area residents in need. It’s a labor of love and reward to those that work there. I have for 14 months. Roger Mulley

I love this place. The leadership is great and the products are raised with care. Also, I was able to work remotely full time while volunteering at the farm! They were very flexible about my work schedule. I would recommend this place to anyone who is hungry for practical knowledge about growing organic food.
