So disappointed. I'll start with the positive. Lovely staff. Great butternut squash soup. My chicken salad sandwich which claimed to have tarragon and raisins contained neither. They nicely took it back to remake and it came back with more raisins but still no taste of tarragon and very dry. Predominantly dark meat chicken did not compliment the sandwich at all. The sandwich bread was very nice.

Charming venue, even more charming staff. There’s something so warm and welcoming about this place, I briefly considered forwarding my mail. They treat you like family and serve up food that tastes like it came from someone’s well-loved kitchen—not a corporate cookbook. A true gem.

We had our wedding reception at Elawa Farm in August, and it was absolutely magical. The venue is a perfect blend of elegance and charm, offering a stunning setting with multiple beautiful spaces to enjoy throughout the evening. From the paddock to the tent, then dancing in the barn, and finally winding down under the stars and string lights, every moment felt special and seamless. The team at Elawa Farm was phenomenal to work with. Karen was incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring everything went smoothly with our vendors. What makes this venue even more special is that it's a place we can return to for years to come. With its scenic walking trails, seasonal markets, and community events, Elawa isn’t just where we had our wedding—it’s a place where we can continue to celebrate life’s moments. We are so grateful for this beautiful venue, the wonderful team, and the lasting memories we created here.

While trying to find the parking lot for Middlefork Savanna (GPS took me to Halas Hall), I found this little gem. Loved reading about this history of this farm and walking around the property. Great place to take kids before or after a nature walk. I would love to come back for the farmers market one day.

My wife and I visited Elawa for Soup and Bread night last night and it was a wonderful experience. The chef and the whole team did a great job. The food and drinks were excellent. Such a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back for more!

Excellent place to spend time with family, Kids love this place. staff members are willing to take time and talk to kids about the animals and their dietary habits.
