My husband and I took our kids ages 3 and 6 to the Family Farm Morning for a nominal fee. It ended up being one of the highlights of a three-day trip to the area - more beloved than the chocolate factory, the lobster boat tour, or anything in downtown Freeport. Adults and kids alike, we loved learning about the farm animals, exploring the garden, and taking a beautiful and fun self-guided hike through the forest. The staff was really great, stopping to listen to my 6 year-old’s story about the cocoon he found. A wonderful, special place, we’ll be back!

Amazing place to be. On the rocky shoes of the Casco Bay! Everything from the ocean to chickens. Nice trail around the farm that's easy enough for beginners and beautiful enough for anyone. Feed the chickens, pet the goats and rabbits at the barn, check on the sheep in the field. Great experience for the whole family.

We have visited Wolfe's Neck several times, enjoying their hiking trails and kayaking on the water. There's so much to do! If you're looking for a fun day out with the family, this is the place to be! Don't forget to stop by the farm to say hello to the animals in the barn or visit the market for fresh eggs and vegetables. Pro tip: Secure your watercraft by booking your kayaking online. Then, swing by the market to get directions to the Hut where you can pick up your paddles and life jacket.

This was a cool place to enjoy for a bit. I came for their Goat Grazing program, which allows visitors to hang out with goats for an hour. I was able to pet them, walk them, and feed them. The staff were really cool and knowledgeable, and the goats were friendly and adorable. Very kid-friendly, and interactive. They have many more animals in the farm, as well as various activities for all.

Took my 3 year old daughter to do the "Farmer for the Morning" activity. She enjoyed feeding the goats, sheep, chickens, and rabbits. The instructors were very friendly and kind and did a great job relating with the children and keeping them engaged. Afterwards, we took a walk on their hiking trails. We did the shortest loop and it was very manageable considering that I had my 4 month old strapped to me in a body carrier. Lots of bridges and steps made it fun to explore and a few outdoor critters to see. There was a big tractor there for the kids to play on but I think they could add some more outdoor play things for the children. Wallingford Fruit House in Auburn ME does a better job with their outdoor play area. We were also previously there for storytime. The farm stories were funny and engaging but it was held outdoors and the weather cold and windy that day so the little ones spent half the time in the warm barn observing the animals. Since we visited in March 2025 there were only a few items for sale in the little shop i.e. tomato sauce, onions, garlic but they said the bigger store will open in the summer with more variety of produce. We loved the new bathroom facilities - very clean, spacious, and creatively designed. Parking is available but seemed limited. Overall it was a nice adventure but didn't seem worth the 45 minute drive from Auburn.

We took our 7th graders here for a field trip and it was awesome! We did some tide-pooling, saw the farm animals (the barn cat was a big hit with the kids 😂). and looked for (and found) salamanders on the trails through the woods!

Farmyard Story time! This was great. My toddler and infant had fun. There were other families there, who seem to return weekly. They have trails to walk and explore and see the animals. If you pack a lunch, you could spend a good two or three hours doing things. The complex does have a “cafe”, but it was open. There are rocks and to traverse, and space for little ones imagination. But if you just want to do this event, it is a solid hour, with one or two stories and a short animal visit.
