Stevie Leigh

Stevie is wonderful. I brought my wedding dress to her for alterations - she is reasonably priced, accommodating in terms of scheduling, and communicative. I had an initial consultation and 2 additional appointments where Stevie made additional alterations to make sure my dress fit seamlessly. She made a bustle for my dress with snaps underneath the dress and managed to do this with very heavy fabric. My mom and sister also brought their gowns to her for alterations which they were thrilled with.

Stevie Leigh is a top knotch , first class designer . She has made 3 costumes for me, which were very challenging. I am a Cher Tribute Artist and when you’re singing Cher , it’s all about the Bob Mackie costume replicas . Her attention to details , cost consciousness, and takes no shortcuts makes her the number one design artist on my team !! Rhinestones , sequins , there’s nothing this gal cannot do! Her style is humble, soft spoken , and is very subtle. Her expression is remarkable when she gets at that sewing machine . Superstars come and go, Cher is forever and so is Stevie !!

I had an amazing experience with Stevie Leigh. I needed my wedding dress altered about 2 months before my wedding. I had gained a little weight in my hips and butt which caused a whole panic attack but Stevie was very comforting and assured me we would be able to make it all work! She kept me in the loop with what she was thinking and offered suggestions (since I clearly had no idea) but most importantly made me feel comfortable! She took the hips out a couple inches, made a corset back, and hemmed it up a little. She also helped alter my daughter’s flower girl dress! Not only did I love her work but her vision and style. Deff will go back there for any future alterations and recommended her to my bridesmaids!

I frantically brought my wedding dress to Stevie 3 weeks before my wedding. She hemmed the bottom/ train and tighten my lace sleeves in two weeks! It came out so beautifully and fit so perfectly. Such a lovely person to work with.

I really enjoyed working with Stevie! She was friendly, helpful and convenient. She made suggestions on the alterations of my mother of the bride gown. The alterations were done perfectly and in two weeks as promised. She was also very reasonably priced. I would recommend her, and I did, to anyone. Also loved little Sprinkles, her dog!

Without a doubt the best tailor in this town, no other in worcester offers a honest fitting service close to a bespoke appointment such as Stevie. With worcesters tailoring community I had a bit of PTSD going from perfect fittings by my recently passed fiancee who was such a gifted seamstress, to experiencing a lot of horrible fittings with attitudes from disreputable people making my rounds to EVERY tailor in worcester. I certainly CANNOT say the same with Stevie and I regret saving them for last, I refuse to go anywhere else unless it is by my own hand as a sartorialist!

I've worked with Stevie Leigh twice now and have been super happy both times. The first time, she hemmed a bridesmaid dress for me. When I casually mentioned needing to find a backless bra or bra alternative for the dress, she offered to sew some cups into it for me. It came out so good! The second time, I was in a panic because I had ordered a wedding guest dress online that needed hemming and it arrived super late. I asked Stevie Leigh if she could do an emergency alteration, and she made room in her schedule for me. I dropped it off on a Tuesday morning and it was done by Thursday evening! Stevie Leigh is super talented, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend!

I had come to Stevie about 2 or so weeks before a big event with the need for a dress. She was able to not only fit my time frame (with a very fair rush fee), but also make my dreams come true. I’m a very large and odd sized woman, and the dress that she made for me, had me feeling like a princess off to a ball. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a custom gown, or anything else clothes related!
