Recom Materials came up on a search as I was in the market for some Top Soil. I purchased a large amount from them and unfortunately I wasn't diligent in shopping around as I later found out that they were around $900-$1000 more expensive than any of their competitors that were willing to not only deliver to the exact location but also were willing to send a bit more dirt due to the size of trucks. Another downside is that part of my order got delivered to the wrong location but the only reason it was discovered was because I called about the ETA on that delivery. Communication wasn't there. Overall they are polite and friendly but prices are too high for me to have repeat business here in the future.

We needed additional rock to finish up a yard project and told the lady attendant that we were going to come back before the business closes at five and do a pick up ourselves so that we would not have to pay the extra fee for delivery. My husband returned with a truck to pick up the load approximately 3 or 3:30 and the door was locked and no one was their to provide service. There was also another customer who showed up to pick up firewood and he stated that this happens every so often where the female attendant would leave and not show up till hours later. My question is why would a business vacate and leave customers wondering where the staff has gone with the "open" sign still left on and door locked My husband returned the second time before 4:10PM in hopes that someone would show up to run this business and give us the rock we purchased but still, no one showed up. This is definently not a good way to run a business. We needed this load to finish a project that had to be done today for important reasons. Close proximity to where we live was the main reason we decided to try Recon. For sure, reliability and professionalism for this business is nonexistent. As a result of this bad experience, our business went elsewhere. I would have preferred to have left a zero star but the option was not available.

Paid for stone. Went home cleaned off trailer and came back they closed 2 hours early. Came by an hour later gate was still locked and no one was there, but open sign was on. Other customers showed up while i was there. One person stated that they close up early all the time. Came back several days later after getting our rock from oilfly. Who were excellent. Recom tried to not refund our money even through they closed early. Had to argue with employees and threatened to sit in entrance and share my experience with other customers. They finally called owner.

People at the were very friendly and helpful. The lady behind the counter was amazing. The guy thar delivered knew his business and was professional and courteous. Will definitely use them again

Paid for 7 yards, got about 4 yards delivered. ASK FOR A WEIGHT TICKET!!! That's the only way you know you got what you paid for. Very disappointed, expected a lot more from this business. Previously had good experience. New management?

Just ordered compost to help mend our soil (rock hard clay) the quality of the compost is fantastic the wood fragments are perfect sized the soil is extremely light and great texture. Prices are well worth what you get. By far better then bagged high dollar garden soils. I'm extremely pleased.

Been going here for about 5 yrs to get wood. Has always been good until this year. They only sell by the pound while their website says otherwise. Started loading up oak and noticed firewood was in horrible condition. Very small pieces, mostly rotten. So, I started loading up pecan. Price per cord is the same on their web site. Loaded up less than a cord of wood. They said pecan was 5 cents more per pound. The cost was $692.00 never again will I spend my money here. Totally lost a customer.
