Oasis Inn Tacoma near JBLM

Clean rooms, quiet place, friendly staff. We had a pleasant stay. The people around the place look shady but otherwise it was a good stay. No water fountain so less stars for that.

WORST HOTEL IN THE AREA ! I’m not even joking , my girlfriend and I decided to stay here just for two days and it was the most awful experience you could have at a hotel . We were kicked out of our room at noon when my girlfriend had just got back from work and I was still sleeping in bed as I work nights usually until 4 a.m. . The only person working was apparently the “ owner “ this older foreign man , who SHOULD NOT have a job anywhereeeeeee . When we got to this hotel it smelled so bad in the hallways and in our room , like skunk / garbage / cigarettes !! We immediately were so grossed out and didn’t even want to keep this booking anymore , but it’s just for 2 days so we tried to look past it . This ultimately ended up in us GETTING KICKED OUT for “ smoking “ in our room ( the hallways and lobby 😂 ) . This guy tried saying we were the only people in the hotel and it was 100% our fault for the smell , that our only option was to pay an extra deposit to him to continue staying or he would call the police ! I was so baffled at this point , but figured to just keep it cool and it wouldn’t matter . About 15 minutes went by and we were met by police at our room door , they basically told us we didn’t have a choice but to leave or get trespassed ….. we couldn’t get our refund either even though we had just paid $140 for our room today a few hours ago . The owner continued to be completely reluctant on giving a refund or any information about the hotel to be able to try and get a refund . At this point we just got a Case Number from the police and are trying to figure out our next steps to take to make up for this terrible experience . We left and had to pay another $120 for a room for the night as we are currently looking to get an apartment and have nowhere else to stay . This made it cost $260 for just one day to have a bed to sleep in as my girlfriend and I spend almost our entire day at work . DO NOT STAY HERE , I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE . TAKE MY ADVICE WHILE YOU STILL CAN ! Literally anyyyyyyyyy other hotel in the Tacoma area is better than this one !

Where do I even start?! Hmm... Getting into our room the smell of cigarettes was impossible to not be noticed, I had to leave the ac extremely high and cold so we could be able to stay in the room. We checked the smoke alarm and it was dead, which made sense. Our bed sheets and comforter had cigarette burns. The bed was a queen, but we ordered a king. The room would have been fine if it wasn't for the smell. This place is extremely sketchy, THE WERE 3 CARS THAT WERE SMASHEE IN, all in 1 night. A police officer was called by one of the victims, my husband talked to him and he said that there are a ton of vehicles stolen and broke in at the oasis inn tacoma hotel. The staff rapidly cleaned all the broken glas from the parking lot so other people wouldn't see it. Oh, and the breakfast is not what you see in the pictures, it's the cheapest "grab and go" you will ever see. The options were old bananas, chewy bars, water, and packed danishes like the ones from 7-Eleven. If you are with your family do not go there, you will regret it as soon as you step in. The only reason we didn't leave was because everything everywhere else was booked out because of Taylor Swift's concert. And after all our frustration we talked to the front desk and the staff said with some slight attitude that there was nothing they could do. This is definitely the worst place I've stayed. And we paid around $250 for a night 🥲

Keep your heads low! We booked a room for 2 + child in August 2024 and found the room walls riddled with bullet holes from a shotgun, and parts of the wall all over the carpet and bed sheets. In that moment the strong stench of cigarette smoke did not seem so relevant anymore (rooms are supposed to be non-smoker).

Classic example of you get what you pay for! Hubby and so are in town for a concert at the dome, and not wanting (or needing) a fancy place to stay, but we were not prepared for how sketchy this place was. Full disclosure that I did not read any reviews before I booked. Hindsight: I should have! Broken light, sink refuses to drain, tv won’t work, no cups for coffee, random outside doors open (for “dog walkers”), outlets don’t work and look like fire hazards, no free breakfast. Luckily we were only there for about 12 hours and our car was not vandalized. It was easy and quick to get to the dome for the concert, and we slept ok, but we won’t be staying there again.

The rooms are great, ample space, king sized beds, and full bathrooms, but staying here has its ups and downs. Some of the guests are what make my stay feel unpleasant. Many suspicious looking people loiter outside and leave the side entrance door proped open. Many guests here are LOUD, and inconsiderate of other people's lives. Some constantly slam their room doors, regardless of what time of day/night it is. The walls are thin, so when you have a noisy neighbor, it's easy to hear them. I'm not sure if management addresses the loitering, but they do tend to your needs when you need more supplies for a room, or you choose to switch rooms. The housekeeping staff are kind, and do a great job at restocking supplies and remaking the bed. Hard surfaces, like the headboard, and counter/desk tops could be wiped down better. Other than that, the hotel is well maintained. The front rooms of the hotel face the interstate, and it is noisy 24/7, so if you are sensitive to outside noise, especially from cars, there are rooms that face the back end where it's peaceful and quiet The hotel is conveniently located near grocery stores, parks, bus stops, the Tacoma mall, gas stations and many other things. Staying here is okay, just make sure you are in a room you feel comfortable in.

Hotel itself is fine, rooms are clean enough, big, beds relatively comfortable, all the typical hotel amenities. However, the location and the people in and around the hotel 24/7 are problematic. Multiple smashed cars seemingly parked long-term in the lot, and other people working on cars in the middle of everything. Lots of trash and debris, many people loitering and doing drugs around the doorways. Dogs loudly barking in some of the hotel rooms at random hours. If they cleaned up the property and had security, the hotel would be pretty decent.

Great place if you're looking for a ton of what appeared to be either “hourly guests” and/or their “associates” loitering around the property, panhandling, and generally making the entire establishment feel unsafe. As for the employees..I've never seen that amount of rudeness come from people that are supposed to be ensuring you have a pleasant stay. But hey, on the bright side, you can get any amount and every kind of drug you could desire if you choose to.. heck even if you don't ask it's offered continuously despite your denial .. I'd advise to just keep driving to the next hotel 🤦
